June Network Meeting Details - *Change of venue*

Hello everyone,

Our next collegial meeting is scheduled for Thursday 15 June 2017.  You can find all the details below.

Venue: The Shepparton English Language Centre is at 130 Hayes St, Shepparton.

When you come for our workshop park in Weddell Street along the school oval at the back of St Georges Rd Primary School.  Although our postal address is 130 Hayes Street our entrance is around the corner in Weddell Street opposite 22 Weddell Street, Shepparton.  We are the doorway near the small off road carpark which is between the St Georges Rd PS oval and the building.  Don’t get confused with the signage which says the Shepparton Flexible Learning Centre.  That’s is a separate educational setting in the front half of the building.  We are located in the back half.  There is a small sign for the Shepparton English Language Centre pointing to our entrance.

Time: 4.00pm - 6.00pm

Parking:  Available in  small off road carpark which is between the St Georges Rd PS oval and the building.

Topic: 
We will be meeting with Laurie, the lead teacher, who will take us through the work of the SELC. SELC cater for both primary and high school ages, supporting their learning after arriving in Australia. We will also meet with an ex student, now staff member, who will tell his story of being a refuge and how the centre helped him.
 
Catering: A light afternoon tea with continuous tea/coffee/hot chocolate (coffee machine and milk frothers).

First meeting for 2017

Hi everyone and welcome to the new school year,

Our first meeting for the year is scheduled for Thursday 3rd March 2017 from 4.00pm - 6.00pm in the staffroom at Mooroopna Park Primary School.

The topic for this meeting is "Back to Basics' where we will look at setting yourself up for another year of CRT, becoming a career CRT, things you should have in your bag of tricks, what’s essential for teaching and what’s not.  We would love for you to bring along your ideas, stories and resources to share with others.
